Can I book with the hotel staff?

You can book with the hotel staff via e-mail. We just ask a credit card number as a guarantee for your reservation.

Why should I book with the hotel staff?

If you book with us, we will have the opportunity to give you a personalized treatment, depending on your needs and requests.

Booking with the hotel staff is easy and fast.

No pre-payment will be asked: you will pay the bill at checking out and you will be able to modify or cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before your arrival.

Can I modify or cancel a confirmed booking?

You can modify or cancel a confirmed booking up to 48 hours before your arrival. Should you cancel your reservation after that date, a penalty of one night will be charged on your credit card.

Will you charge my credit card when i confirm the reservation?

We require a credit card as guarentee for the reservation. Nothing will be charged on the given credit card. If you cancel the reservation afted the established deadline, a penalty of one night will be charged.

How can I pay my bill?

You can pay cash up to the established limit of € 1999,00 or with credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). If you prefer to pay by check or by bank transfer, we ask you to make the payment before your arrival or at check in.

Shoul I pay a city tax?

Yes. This is € È prevista una tassa di soggiorno di € 1,50 per persona per notte e per un massimo per person er night (maximum 7 nights, not applicable to children under the age of 12). See city tax regulation in Ragusa by clicking here.

How can I get to the hotel?

By car, follow directions to Ragusa and then to Ragusa Ibla. Go to via Ottaviano, where you can park just a few meters from the hotel entrance. See details.

By Train, reach Ragusa or Ragusa Ibla train station. From Ragusa Ibla station you can reach the hotel by taxi; from Ragusa station you can reach the hotel by taxi or bus n. 11, 33, 1 festivo or 3 notturno, getting down at Ottaviano or Giardini Iblei stops.

Bby bus, reach Ragusa bus station. From there you can reach the hotel by taxi or by bus n. 11, 33, 1 festivo or 3 notturno, getting down at Ottaviano or Giardini Iblei stops.
The nearest airports are Comiso and Catania.

Where I can park when arriving at the hotel?

You can park in Via Ottaviano in a public free parking just near the hotel main entrance.

You can also park in our private parking just 30 meters away from the hotel main entrance. This is a private open car park and it’s free for our guests.

Can I reserve a transfer?

Yes, just ask availability and rates at the hotel reception. We will book it for you.

What time can I check in? And what time is check out?

Check in is available from 2 PM, check out should be done before 11 AM.

If you wish to have a last walk in Ragusa Ibla in the afternoon, you can leave us your luggage.

How far is the city center?

At the 5th floor of the hotel, you will find an exit that is 100 meters far from the main square of the old town Ragusa Ibla. The center of Ragusa is 1,5 Km far from the hotel.

You can reach it in 30 minutes on foot or in 7 minutes by car.

If you wish to visit both parts of the city, we strongly recommend to our guests to take a bus to reach the center of Ragusa.

From there, you can have a wonderful walk going down to the old town, enjoying nice views and taking very nice pictures near the church of Santa Maria delle Scale.

How far is the seaside and which are the nearest beaches?

The nearest beach is Marina di Ragusa, towards west, 25 Km away from the hotel. Near that, you can also find Donnalucata and Punta Secca. Towards east, you can find Pozzallo and Marina di Modica, 30 Km away from the hotel.

Near them, you can also find Sampieri or Santa Maria del Focallo.

Do you accept pets?

Pets are welcome. If you come with your pet, please tell us before: we will assign you a room near our garden. You will pay a fee of € 30,00 for extra cleaning service and a deposit of € 50,00.

We ask you to limit your pet walking to your room and necessary movements to reach it or leave it, reducing thus chances of contact with allergic people. We also ask you not to leave your pet alone inside your room.

Is it possible to smoke?

In accordance witl law 3 of January 16th 2003, it is forbidden to smoke in all the spaces inside the hotel, including rooms. It is possible to smoke in ouitside areas.

Some rooms have patio or balcony; furthermore, the hotel have a lot of outside areas.

In any case, we ask you to respect the environment and use ashtrays, asking them at hotel staff if you don’t see them outside.

Do you have a laundry service?

Yes, we have laundry service. This service is guaranteed by an external provider. Inside your room, you will find a pricelist and a bag where you can put the dirty laundry.

Please give that bag at reception, indicating what is inside. the delivery of clean laundry is guaranteed in a maximum of 48 hours.

Is WI-FI available?

WI-FI is FREE and available in all the hotel areas. Just ask password at reception.

Is the hotel accessible to disabled people?

All the hotel common spaces are fully accessible for disabled people. We also have accessible rooms. Please ask availability of accessible rooms before reserving.

What time do you serve breakfast? What does it include?

Breakfast is served every day from 7 to 10 AM.

Our Breakfast includes homemade cakes, pastries and croissants, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, fresh and hot drinks and a corner with a selection of cheese, cold cuts, eggs and typical Sicilian products.

Do you serve food or drinks for intolerant or allergic people?

Of course, a selection of products dedicated to intolerant or alergic people is available asking at the hotel staff.

Anyway, we recommend to give this kind of information to the hotel before your arrival.

Can you make a packet lunch?

Of course, we can make packet lunch on request. We usually make them during the morning along with brekfast, so you can pick them startin from 7 AM.

We strongly recommend to reserve packet lunch during the previous day. Finally, we remind you that it is forbidden to take food or drinks away from the breakfast hall. We make breakfast with fresh products, easily perishable if not well kept.

So, the hotel is not responsible for the consumption of food taken away from breakfast.

Does this hotel have an ecological certification?

No, we do not have ecological certifications. Nonetheless, we are committed to preserve the environment: we think that our guests’ wellness is strongly linked to the sourrounding nature’s wellness.

We did not build a new hotel, we renovated an abandoned noble house and the remains of a monastery of the XVI century and its garden.

We only use low-consumption led lights. Electricity inside the room only works when guest is inside and put its card in the specific slot.

Heating and air conditioning only works when the guest is inside the room and in a sustainable temperature range.

We always separate our waste and encourage our guests to do the same

We show our guests the best ways to visit Ragusa on foot or with public transport. Further, we have a Park and Charge station for electric cars just a few meters from the hotel entrance.

All our taps wear water flow reducers. All our toilets have dual flush. We collect rain water and use it to irrigate our garden. To avoid big consumption of water and detergents, we encourage our guests to leave on the sink the towels they would like to be changed.

We use dispenser for soap and shower gel instead of single use plastic packages.
